Tackle Tips: Jigs, spinner baits, and soft plastics are the most frequently used tackle for largemouth bass fishing in Blind River. Live bait and and tube jigs are the most frequently used baits when targeting sunfish. Catfish and bream species can be fished for under a cork with live or artificial bait around the numerous cypress trees, stumps, and lillies along the banks in about 4 ft of water.
Other Notes: Largemouth bass is the most popular sportfish targeted in Blind River. Fish are managed with a 10 fish bag limit/no minimum length limit. Sunfish and channel catfish are abundant in the main river, as well as in adjacent bayous and canals.
